Florilegium at Bath International Music Festival

RCM Ensemble in Association are collaborating with RCM singers and alumnae for two performances of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas at this year’s Bath International Music Festival.
This sold-out staged production of will be given in the city’s famous Roman Baths (which the Bath authorities ) on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 May at 9.30pm. Conducted by RCM Head of Historical Performance , members of Florilegium will be joined by RCM alumnae Helen-Jane Howells (Dido) and Elin Manahan Thomas (Belinda), and a chorus comprising nine members of the RCM Chamber Choir.
Ahead of the performances, Ashley Solomon was interviewed live from the Roman Baths on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune at on Wednesday 29 May. You can listen to the programme on until Wednesday 5 June 2013.
As part of their residency at the Bath Festival, Florilegium will also give a , perform the winning works of the and present Bach’s complete .
